Seems like everybody wants to lose weight, have healthier skin, healthier hair, healthier nails, or just be in better shape these days. It sounds really hard to do get these things, but its actually just a few easy things you can do to get that bikini ready body and mermaid-like hair and skin. We all eat everyday, whether its three meals, or lots of small meals through out the day, right? Why eat foods that aren't good for your body? Switch your sodas for water or green tea, switch your Doritos for a banana or blueberries, and switch your delivery pizza for a grilled chicken salad. Fruits, dairy products, and vegetables all contain high amounts of the nutrients your body needs.
If you don't want to give up your unhealthy meals, you still have a healthier option; The organic version. Instead of Kraft Mac&Cheese, eat Annie's organic mac and cheese made with organic gluten free noodles and real cheese. You still get to eat delicious mac and cheese but you're cutting out all the chemicals that are in Kraft like preservatives and dyes. (Did you know: Yellow 6, a dye used in Kraft mac and cheese is illegal in the UK? But in the US, we feed it to our kids!) The real cheese and milk in an organically made mac and cheese with be a good source of calcium too! Double win!

Organic sections in stores are becoming more and more popular, and you can find just about anything you need for dinner there. Yes, even microwavable meals! Not everybody, including myself, has time to make a home-cooked organic meal everyday. Grabbing a banana and a Cascadian farms vanilla chip and granola bar while rushing out the door on my way to my first photo shoot of the day doesn't take much time either, and again is a great source of nutrients!
Don't get me wrong, just eating healthy isn't all I do to maintain my weight and "model body". I work hard and I workout everyday, whether I go to the gym and use the machines there for a workout and cardio, or I do yoga in the comfort of my living room. And yes, there are still yoga practices that count for cardio. When you work out you are actually breaking down muscle, contrary to popular belief that you're building muscle. After you work out you should eat 100-150 calories to help your body reload. My favorite after work out remedy is juicing! Made super easy by my Nutri-Bullet, I make a juice with a few of the following items: One banana, three strawberries, some pineapple, spinach and or kale, coconut- pineapple water, half an apple, and one table spoon of either chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, hemp seeds, flaxseeds, or sunflower seeds. Following making my juice I head upstairs for a nice warm bath to relax. Now excuse me while I head to the gym. Will you join me?
