After the craziness of Miami, Orlando was a nice pallet cleanser. Considering my stomach was empty from the events of the previous day, a nice healthy and organic meal was exactly what I needed. Walking through the farmers market I felt better already as there was a vibrant smell of fresh fruits and vegetables and friendly smiling faces filling the air. Fresh apples, pineapples, mangos, blueberries, nuts, and everything in between. My friends got a pineapple, mango, and coconut juice while I got a pineapple cut up to eat later on the beach (the best pineapple I've ever had might I add.)
For lunch we went to a cute little lounge like restaurant called Dandelion. Everything on the menu was a combination of organic, vegan, and gluten free. Food you can eat and not feel guilty about is the best kind of food! After taking probably 15 minutes to decide what on the large menu I wanted I chose the "Ultimate grilled cheese" which consisted of organic feta cheese and cheddar cheese, fresh tomatoes scallions, and bell peppers on all natural sourdough bread with a side of gluten free purple tortilla chips of some sort and a vegan cheese and nut sauce; with a lemon ginger green tea on ice to drink. There wasn't anything in front of me that I did not love one hundred percent. So next time you're in or near Orlando, Dandelion and local farmers markets are a MUST!
