No Bad Days

"How did you get into modeling?" A question I get asked just about everyday. By people that I've known my entire life, people i've just met, or people that I've known but never knew if they knew me. What does it really take to follow your dreams? It takes your hardest determination and motivation every single day. Even when you feel like this is the end of the road you have to get up, keep going, and never settle for where you are. If there is a bigger picture in your head make that picture a reality, and don't stop until it is. I have to get up every morning and put my best foot forward, make every day a step closer to the dream.
No half-assing, no sitting around, no discouragement, NO BAD DAYS. The second I feel myself falling into a rut, listening to a sad song or hearing other peoples doubts I just change the Pandora station and get motivated again. If I let other people tell me what I can or can't do I wouldn't be as far as I am now, I'd be stuck at square one forever. I have learned what gets me pumped up, motivated, and just ready. I get up I go for a run, go to the gym, maybe just go for a drive, these things remind me how hard I work every single day for what I want and they remind me how far I've come but still how far I've got to go.
I've come a long way from where I started, the girl in high school who always said she'd model but nobody took seriously. Did I even take myself seriously? I've watched myself grow so much over the past year that I have been out of high school. My Instagram following went from three hundred to six thousand five hundred. And I'm learning that people don't care what you post, they just want to see what you're doing, where you are, who you're with, etc. And of course there will always be the people that don't like me, and never will. The key to winning in that situation is to not try to impress them, to simply not care. Letting them put negative energy into your universe is like putting dirt in your shower and hoping you don't get dirty when you're trying to get clean. Surround yourself with positive energy, good spirits, and strong belief in yourself. Eli Young Band said it best, "keep on dreaming, even if it breaks your heart".
